Why was Daniel not killed? (BD02)

              'Book of Daniel'

Dan 1:3, 6  Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king's descendants and some of the nobles... Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah."
Most of the Israelites were killed with just over 3,000 were taken as captives to Babylon out of possibly 1 million or more from Judah and Jerusalem. Is it by any chance that these were saved by divine intervention?

King's children, Priesthood killed
Jer 52:9-10, 14, 24  So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he pronounced judgment on him. Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah... And all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down all the walls of Jerusalem all around... The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.
All the children of King Zedekiah along with some priesthood and Jewish leaders were killed.

Jer 27:8-9, 17  'And it shall be, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and which will not put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish,' says the LORD, 'with the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. Therefore do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your dreamers, your soothsayers, or your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, "You shall not serve the king of Babylon."... 'Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live! Why should this city be laid waste?"
Since Israel had rejected the many warnings to repent, the final prophecies by Jeremiah were the destruction of Jerusalem. God told the Israelites to surrender to King Nebuchadnezzar and to serve him for seventy years. All those who rejected His commands were killed.
Although those who obeyed Jeremiah and those who surrendered were prevented from leaving Jerusalem, yet they together with Daniel were saved.
Thank God that He is faithful to His words and promises.

Deliverance by God
2Pet 2:6-9  and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds) -- then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
Just as God had delivered the righteous Lot and 3000 Israelites from death, He will also deliver Christians, who have kept His words, who have believed in the destruction of Jerusalem in World War 3,  and those who have trusted His Endtime prophecies.
Luke 21:20-22, 24  "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled... And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
